The 'Holyhead - Not Wales', for James and Thomas Smith comes from the 1891 Census in St Margaret at Cliffe in Kent, where their father was the lighthouse keeper, working for Trinity House.
James and Thomas were born in Holyhead, but presumably the lighthouse was not part of Wales and the father made the distinction that his children were not Welsh.

The Roll of Honour commemorates the Second World War only. The squadrons represented are 22, 812, 42, 86, 53, 59, RCAF 407, 236, 143, 254. Some of the men came from Royal Canadian Air Force squadron 407 and 236. One or two were Free French, others were USAF, HQ/6 group; altogether some 511 names are listed altogether on 2 wooden boards, each 1870mm tall x 970mm wide.
