The last Will and Testament of Marriatt COLLINSON



WILL of MARRIATT COLLINSON ( - 5 June 1910)

BE IT KNOWN that Marriatt Collinson of 121 Wellington Street Grimsby in the County of Lincoln

who at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at Grimsby aforesaid within the District of the County of Lincoln died on the 5th day of June 1910 at Grimsby aforesaid.

AND BE IT FURTHER KNOWN that at the date hereunder written the last will and Testament of the said deceased was proved and registered in the District Probate Registry of His Majesty's High Court of Justice at Lincoln and that administration of all the estate which by law devolves to and vests in the personal representative of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to Charles Collinson of 89 Beckett Road Doncaster in the County of York, Coal Merchant's Agent the son of the deceased and Alfred Whitworth of 158 Legsby Avenue Grimsby aforesaid Gas Company's Cashier.

The Executors named in the said Will.

Dated the 28 day of June 1910.

Gross value of Estate .... £499-7-0 Net value of Personal Estate .... £469-18-0.

Richard Collinson - Note: £499/7/00 in 1910 is roughly equivalent to £35,529.42 in 2009.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Marriatt Collinson of 121 Willingham Street Grimsby in the County of Lincoln made this eighth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten.

I hereby revoke all Wills by me at any time heretofore made.

I appoint my son Charles Collinson and my friend Alfred Whitworth to be my Executors and I direct that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid as soon as possible after my decease.

I hereby give and bequeath unto my Wife Matilda Collinson all my property whatsoever. At her death I wish everything to be equally divided between my five children Charles Collinson, Hannah Rebecca Pinchbeck, Frances Richardson, James William Collinson (my grandfather) and Alfred Collinson. If any of these are dead at the time of my Wife's death there (sic) share shall go their heirs or nearest of kin.

Signed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and testament in presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. Robert John Leeson Henry Herbert Dawson.

Probate: On the 28th day of June 1910 Probate of this Will was granted at Lincoln to Charles Collinson and Alfred Whitworth the Executors.
